Woodland Trail and Gardens

Welcome to Clary Gardens’ Woodland Trail! This moderate, ½ mile trail will loop you through our 11 acre wooded hillside. Immerse yourself in nature as you explore our trail and enjoy the sights only Appalachia Ohio has to offer.
The large tree canopy allows for cool, shaded areas and a wide variety of bird species overhead. At the top of the trail, you can view several sandstone outcroppings that create a beautiful ridgeline. The bottom of the trail is bordered by the soft meandering of Cantwell Creek. Along the trail, you can go back into time to learn about the plant uses of the Lenape tribe that once thrived in Coshocton Ohio.
All seasons have different offerings to the trail- the burst of spring wildflowers that emerge before the canopy erupts; lush summer greenery and shade; the crunching of fall leaves underfoot; and the serenity that encapsulates you after a soft winter snow fall. All ensure no visit is the same.
