#2 Bridal Expo

Would you like to create a decorative terrarium to bring a little green indoors this winter? Then join the Master Gardener Volunteers on Tuesday, February 20 for Beat the Winter Blahs with Terrariums. Cost for this program is $15 and includes all class materials, terrarium plants and a glass container. If you would like to bring your own container, then the cost is $10. Registration is required by February 12.

#8 Bird Seed Ornament Workshop

Do you love birds? Then we have the workshop for you! Join us in the tan house for a bird seed ornament workshop on February 6th at 5:00P.M.! Winter is a hard time for birds. The cold, harsh winter kills so many of the plants that they rely on for food. We want to make bird seed ornaments to support our local bird populations, so we can continue to see and enjoy all the birds Ohio has to offer!

All materials are provided, and you will be sent home with your creations and a silicone mold so you can continue making bird seed ornaments all winter long! Space is limited. Please RSVP to events@clarygardens.org.

Cost: $15 (includes silicone mold & 1 created birdseed ornament)
Join us on Tuesday, February 7th from 4-6pm for our birdseed workshop! We will be making birdseed ornaments as well as other natural birdseed feeders that can be used outside during these months when food for our native birds is scarce.

#11 Annual Campaign - Extension Deadline!!

Our annual appeal letter generally goes out in October and members can make a tax-deductible donation through the end of the year. *However, we have extended annual giving until February 14, 2023! These funds are used for local needs in educational programming and community exhibits.

To share some fun with our supporters, we’re planning a new quarterly incentive for ALL our patrons (including YOU). Starting in March and occurring each quarter-end in 2023, we will hold a drawing for one of our garden members to receive a special gift.

Because we are a 501(c)3 organization, donations are tax-deductible. We strive to make a local difference in horticultural education, environmental stewardship, local history and the arts.

#12 ALL LEVELS YOGA by Humble Warrior Yoga

Location: Clary Gardens, Red Compton House

Come relax and reset with yoga. This will be an all levels class for beginners and experienced yogis alike.

Cost is $10.

Class will be held in the red house. After your turn into Clary Gardens you will take the first right and parking will be in front of the house. Take the steps leading to the front door. Please remove your shoes as you step into our space, but bring them in, I will have a place for you to place them inside. The class will be around an hour. Bring your mat, but no worries if you don’t have one, I have a few extra! You are welcome to bring water and a blanket or other props. Currently cash will be the preferred payment method, but In the future there will be more options.

This is a great opportunity to learn from more seasoned gardeners about the potential you have for a great 2024 gardening season. Ideas on vegetable gardens, perennial gardens, butterfly gardens, native gardens, and more, are all welcome. This is a FREE drop-in event!

Blooms for Mason Bees is a project focused on finding the best flowers to support pollinators -- specifically Midwestern springtime pollinators like the mason bee. The project is funded by the USDA Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) Farmer Rancher Grant.

At this stage, we have already deployed mason bee shelters across Ohio and analyzed the pollen collected. Now, we are pulling back the curtain to show you exactly how it happened and what we discovered
