#1 Stan Hywet "Holiday" Bus Trip

Location: Clary Gardens
Date: 12/13/2018
Time: 1pm to 9pm

Stan Hywet “Holiday” Bus Trip

Join us Thursday, December 13, 2018, on a trip to Stan Hywet Hall in Akron, Ohio, for their guided-Manor tour and famous Deck The Hall event - One of Ohio’s largest and most spectacular holiday traditions!

We’ll be leaving Clary Gardens (bottom parking lot) at 1pm (Sharp!) and will arrive back to the gardens between 8:30 and 9:00pm.

Stan Hywet is illuminated inside and out with over ONE MILLION lights with a “Winter Wonderland” theme. The estate features a historic 65-room Tudor Revival Manor, the Gothic Revival Conservatory, the Gate Lodge and 70 acres of artistically landscaped grounds and formal gardens.

We’ll spend the first hour (~3-4pm) on a guided-tour of the Manor House, the former estate of F. A. Seiberling, co-founder of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Our group will learn what life was like when the Seiberling family called this estate “home.”

After the Manor guided tour, we’ll get to experience the famous self-guided “Deck The Hall” event with an outdoor light show, courtyard tree lighting, live music in the Manor House, treats for purchase around the cozy warming courtyard fire, the 20ft poinsettia tree in the tropical Corbin Conservatory, and/or visit Molly’s (gift) shop or Molly’s Café. All bus riders can spend their time afterthe guided tour, as they please, experiencing any of the areas of the estate they prefer (self-guided).

COST: $40 per person which includes transportation and combo-ticket admission to both the guided-Manor tour and Deck the Hall events.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Paid to Clary Gardens (cash or check) by Wednesday, December 5, 2018.

Guests should dress for the weather including appropriate footwear for outdoor walking. Please call or email Clary Gardens with questions: (740)622-6524 or events@clarygardens.org

#2 Annual Fund and Membership Campaign

Location: Clary Gardens
Date: 12/31/2021
Time: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Friend of Clary Gardens,

We’re on the cusp of another beautiful season. We encourage you to bring the whole family to take a walk in nature and enjoy the new ‘winter’ themed story on our Garden StoryWalk Trail made possible in partnership with the Coshocton Public Library and funded by the Frontier Power Community Connections Fund.

This year we celebrated our 20th Anniversary of operations as a not-for-profit botanical garden. Your generous donations allowed us to hold two months of summer children’s educational sessions where we planted veggie and flower gardens; learned all about (and held) frogs; and used food science to explore how our local rock formations exist in the woodlands. We were pleased to host three different theatrical productions by the new non-profit local theater company, Rogue Elephant Productions, in our one-of-a-kind sandstone amphitheater and under our brand new 200-person open-air community pavilion that was completed in August. We even brought back our Butterfly Enclosure Exhibition after a year of hiatus, thanks to sponsorship from the Coshocton Junior Woman’s Club! *Phew... 2021 has been BUSY!

STAY TUNED: Visit our Events Calendar at www.ClaryGardens.org to learn more about our upcoming DIY Family Photo Garland and Children’s Pinecone ‘Party’ Craft events.

JOIN THE FUN: Become a member of Clary Gardens by donating to our annual fund campaign for 2022 – Use the enclosed envelope to send your tax-deductible donation. We want to make a local difference in horticultural education, environmental stewardship, local history and the arts, and you can help!

I can’t wait to hear from you. In growth and service... and much gratitude this season,

Jandi M. Adams, Clary Gardens, Director

#7 Annual Fund & Membership Campaign

Location: Clary Gardens
Date: 12/31/2023

Dear Friend of Clary Gardens,

As autumn rolls in fast (my favorite season) and the youth of our community are getting back into the groove of school, there has never been a better time to celebrate and invest in gardening education. For our youngest explorers, a visit to Clary Gardens can ignite a sense of wonder about nature and encourage healthy choices for themselves and for our community. For our young at heart explorers, time in nature can be calming and rejuvenating.

Our botanical garden is in the final phase of a complete transformation. Although the enhancement of our gardens is exhilarating, the ways we are rethinking “outdoor education” for students and the public are equally amazing. As an annual campaign donor, you are a vital champion of our work. We simply cannot do it without you.

We all believe in the best possible future for our community, our children, and our grandchildren – one that supports their health and prosperity, and the health of our environment. As a cultural institution and a place of joy, learning, and connection, Clary Gardens is here for you, for your family, and for future generations of visitors.

I encourage you to support the 2024 annual campaign at Clary Gardens with a gift today. All donations are tax-deductible, because we are a 501(c)3 charitable organization.

Our mission is: to develop and maintain a public botanical garden that provides access to

horticultural education, environmental stewardship, local history and the arts.

With gratitude for our shared love of gardening, education, and the outdoors,

Jandi M. Adams

Director, Clary Gardens
